Off Season Fun 2013-2014: Top 5 Favorites From the Past 4 Years (2010-2014)

Off Season Fun continues with me attempting the impossible! Okay, I'm exaggerating but still, attempting to condense four long years of skating down to only five favorite things per season wasn't an easy task.  So much has happened over the last quad but these are the things I will remember the most.

2012-2013 U.S. Ladies Preview

So far we’ve been given a small preview of what we can expect to see from the US ladies when the season officially begins in about a month. I’m hopeful for just about all of these ladies but it’s inevitable that the great attitudes and happy-go-lucky sentiments won’t last past November…

Off Season Fun 2011-2012: Favorite Short Programs

Nearly a month to go before the JGP starts, so I figured I'd keep the Off Season Fun stuff going.  There were a number of beautiful, interesting and even unique programs from the ladies in both the junior and senior levels.  Here are my top 10 favorite short programs of the 2011-2012 season:

Off Season Fun 2011-2012: Fashion Review - Short Program

I’ve wanted to do this for a while…Fashion Review!!  Yes, I know.  It’s been done a zillion times but not by me, so let me have my fun.  I’m going to give my top six favorite dresses from the ladies 2011-2012 season  (it should be five but I ended up with six...ah, who cares?).  I'll start with the short program:

I'm not dead! Just busy...

Hello all.  *sigh*  I really, really miss posting about skating but my time to do it is rather limited and when I do have time (which is usually during a lull at work), I can't access Blogger!  I've missed way too much to try to catch up now (Worlds, WTT), so I'll just pick up from where we are now:  GP assignments for next year.

2012 U.S. Nationals Recap + Kween Worship + 2012 Four Continents Championship Recap

I'm so, so, SO late again!  I just don't have the amount of free time I used to have when I first started this blog.  Still, I wanted to give my belated thoughts on US Nationals and Four Continents and a few other things.

End of 2011-2012 Grand Prix Thoughts

I'm so behind!!  Thanks to new responsibility at work (and stupid internet restrictions) I'm no longer able to update my blog while I sit at work waiting for something to do.  So, expect my postings to be a lot less frequent than they were a few months ago.  I don't want to shut it down because I really enjoy brain-dumping about skating on this blog, so I'll keep it up and do what I can to keep it going.

The 2011-2012 Grand Prix Final Medalists

I'm so far behind on posting and commenting that I'll just skip trying to do a complete review for all of the events. Instead, here's my quick thoughts on everyone at the end of the Grand Prix season:

2011 Skate America: Ladies Preview & Predictions

So I said I wasn't going post until after Skate America, but what they heck, I'll do a preview.  Why? 'Cause it's Friday and I'm bored as hell at work...

My money is on these three...

Lots happened over the weekend in the skating world.  I'll start with the first big senior competition of the season, Japan Open, before wrapping things up with the junior ladies at JGP Austria.

Mirai & Ashley: Is This (Finally) the Season?

This week US skaters selected to participate in the upcoming 2011 Grand Prix events attended the annual Champs Camp held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorodo Springs, Colorado.   Universal Sports caught up with Mirai and Ashley to talk about the upcoming season.  New programs, new coaches, new outlooks on their skating...will this be the season Mirai and Ashely step it up?  Man, I hope so.

US Ladies in a Slump?...Um, Yeah.

What has happened to US ladies?  I mean, once upon a time it was a rarity that an event went by and at least one American lady wasn't standing on the podium holding ugly flowers and waving when all was said and done.  What happen to those days, huh?

She's the only one...I'm not even kidding...
